WIFI Ranger

I am looking at installing the WIFI Ranger Elite FM with GO2 router on our soon to be picked up 2016 Dutch Star. I know that the antenna is used for picking up Campground, Walmart WIFI. When WIFI is not available and I am using my MIFI Jetpack is the antenna also used for picking up cellular towers?
When the Jetpack is tethered to the GO 2 router does the router keep jetpack charged? And last question what is the best modem jetpack: 6620L, AC791L or 4G U620L? All comments and suggestions are truly appreciated

we've used a Wifi Ranger antenna(mounted on front a/c unit) with built-in router for over a year now and enjoy it's benefits, especially with 12+ devices on board.
when at a location where it can pick up a wifi signal, it's great. when no wifi or open wifi signal is present, we just use either our Vz or Att smartphone Personal Hotspot. There's no need for the Wifi Ranger when using hotspots.
(and, no, the unit does not pick up cell signals)

WIFI Ranger

Thank you MisterT, so if you don't have Go2 router where does the antenna wire get plugged into? Do you know what the benefits are having the GO 2 router? Thank you
Kevin

I use a different system called JEFA Tech. The advantage in using either system are a few
1. You can create a home network for all your devices and printer.
2. It gives an extra firewall between you and the wifi service
3. You only have one connection for all your devices after you connect wifi ranger to the source.

I use a verizon jet pack.

No the external antenna is a WiFi antenna and is directly connected to the Elite which is it's own WiFi router powered by POE from the GO2. If you want a external antenna for cellular that would be separate.

Yes it's standard USB power that is supplied.

I use a AC791L directly connected via USB to a Mini with a Sky2 and the setup works well. The AC791L supports XLTE and has two antenna ports for a MIMO external antenna which I will probably do soon, but it currently gets decent signal in a cabinet through the fiberglass walls.
