WiFiRanger Beta Firmware 7.1.0b11 Released

FYI - I did a test of the update - was able to get over 110 mbps on my connected 5G hotspot, so the performance improvement looks good. This is the best performance I've ever seen thru my Aspen.

I configured it to Failover mode and turn off usage tracking / Multi-WAN

There is an update firmware information on Mobile Internet Resource Center

What service are you using? I had just the opposite results with my Aspen and went back to my WFIF Ranger Core which has been rock solid for over 5 years.

I'm using the FMCA Sprint Connect Plan and maybe the plan that is the problem. Using the hotspot that came with the plan I have seen close 200 on the speed test and normally gets over 100.

Normally - I had the aspen connect to my T-Mobile WIFI hotspots in load balance mode "5G - M2000 and 4G - T9". Always had ok thru put in Failover or Load Balance. When I made the config changes to use just failover & the M2000 as primary. The speed test looks to be almost of what direct connection to the hotspot. This morning - the M2000 direct connections is 95 to 102 mbps / Aspen was 93 to 100

I've did have to reboot it because it was hung this morning.

Maybe DOCJ can help if he sees your post this morning.

I ended up rebooting several times in one day and the old WIFI Ranger Core will run for weeks without rebooting. Hung twice during the Chiefs game and required a reboot. I get nowhere near what you are getting using the WIFI Wan option but. I had load balancing on and since I have both FMCA Sprint and Verizon the reason for using it is load balancing.

With the new firmware update the absolute fastest speeds through the Ranger will take place with Usage tracking and Multi-WAN both disabled.

This allows a new algorithm known as FAST-NAT to be used which bypasses the router's CPU, thus allowing download speeds nearly as fast as the the connection itself.

But even with Usage and MultiWAN enabled the speeds through the router should be faster than previously were achievable.

I have the Aspen (tethered via usb to MIFI8000 FMCA sprint plan) and the Everest (cat 4 with T-mobile and a empty cat 6 slot). On the road I use multi-wan with T-Mobile and Sprint setup for load balancing. When I'm home I use wifi as wan to connect to my spectrum router inside my house over 5g.

I recently upgraded to the b11 firmware a week ago and so far have noticed nothing but improvements in terms of speed connection, router cpu usage and UI responsiveness. The only thing I've had was an unexpected reboot of the Everest a few days ago while I was using doing generic web surfing. If I do have another random reboot I'll engage support or post in the beta FB group
