WiFiRanger limited time 15% discount code

Although WiFiRanger has worked hard to ensure that the new Phantom firmware (7.0.1) is backwards compatible with all older WFR routers, some of those will be pushed to the limit to handle the new software. Don't get me wrong, the older ones will work, but you may appreciate the performance improvement of a router with a more powerful processor and more ROM.

If you're interested in upgrading, WiFiRanger has a limited time 15% discount offer in place on any item from its current product line. Just enter PHANTOM15 as the discount code during checkout. The offer ends February 28.

What would be the difference in getting the Elite and the Elite Pack (in other words do I need the Elite Pack)?

The Elite Pack includes an indoor Go2 router along with the outdoor Elite. There are a number of reasons for wanting to have a Go2, for example, for connecting a USB modem or tethering a Jetpack/Mifi. Another reason would be to provide Ethernet ports for connecting network devices that lack built-in wifi.

Additionally, by having two radios (one in the Elite and one in the Go2), one can be dedicated to communicating to the wifi access point (the Elite) and the other (the Go2) can be used to communicate with the devices on your network. This "two-radio" implementation provides somewhat faster data throughput.

I purchased a SKY with the Go2 last May. I hope this doesn't need to be replaced to upgrade to Phantom

As I stated in my initial post, the Phantom firmware is backwards compatible with ALL prior WiFiRanger routers. What I said was that some older models (Pro/Home/Go) will seem somewhat slow in their responses relative to how the newer models perform. Your Sky and Go2 should work just fine. I personally have a Go2 and a Mobile and they're working well with the new firmware.

To access your Sky's control panel, just go to the Setup tab of your Go's control panel. On the WFRControl line click on the link for View Control Panel. This will open a new tab from which you can can click on the update firmware link which should resolve the mismatch issue.

Did as instructed but now the GO won't connect to the my source. Was able to connect from SKY to source and when I tried to upgrade it said I wasn't registered but I was. So re-registred and after it said information saved. ..blank page and now neither sky or go will connect. Played with for a few hours. Try again later when I can connect again.

Please advise. I would like to get a WiFiRanger for my newly purchased RV. Please let me know what I should buy (Elite, ELite pack,,,?) and is there any discount offered at this time?
Regards,

Hi there:

There are several different WiFiRanger options depending on your needs and budget. All of them provide the same basic function which is known as WiFi as WAN, which is the ability to connect to a campground wifi and redistribute that signal on a private network inside your RV.

You have the option of buying just a rooftop system, which may be all you need if you don't have any devices inside your RV that require access to an Ethernet port, or you can buy a system with both inside and outside components, such as an Elite and a Go2. For the ultimate in range the Elite systems are hard to beat, but if you need an economical system that will meet the needs of many RVers, you may want to consider a "mini".

After you have reviewed the information on the website feel free to contact me or the WiFiRanger staff for additional information.

With respect to your question about discounts, at the moment there are no current discount offers.
