Windgard Traveler tuning.

Several days after deploying my Windgard traveler I had to raise the front end of my motor home. After manually leveling again my sat signals were weak indicating I needed to fine tune the sat alignment. The only way I have done this in the past is to stow my dish and then power up and re deploy. Has to be a better way.

Is there a way to tune in my 110, 119 and 129 signals ??

Why? How hard is it to bring it down and put it back up?

Windgard Traveler tuning.

I am not sure if there is a way to fine tune. You might be able to avoid the complete stow process using Emergency Off then Power back On. It may go into search mode from there.
Been awhile since I have used the Emergency Off.

Just power it off, wait about 10 seconds and power it back on. No need to stow. Chuck

Once the antenna finds all of the satellites, push Select and Power at the same time to shut off the electronics. To retune tha antenna, simply power it up and in a few minutes it will retune. Then shut off with Select and Power again.

Here's the Winegard Installation/Operating Manual: Winegard SK-3005.pdf

Complete, step by step instructions to accomplish a manual satellite tune without going thru the stow process.

Lots of other good Winegard stuff in the Operating Manual section.

Take care,
Stu

I used this procedure for years with my Trav'ler. It saves a couple of minutes compared to stowing ad re-deploying. I'm an impatient person; this was easy to do.
