Winegard Connect 2.0 WiFi 4G LTE

I have been reading forums and posts about WiFi boosters and my head is spinning. I haven’t run across any about this product. Does anyone have experience with it? Winegard is in my backyard so I always support them when I can.

I don't have a unit but this seems to be a decent review:

It seems like there are some downsides if you're looking for just a WiFi booster.

I had the ConnecT v1 w/LTE and now have the ConnecT 2 w/LTE. The 2 unit does a decent job with WiFi, but definitely not as strong as the v1 unit. I have not used the LTE capabilities because Verizon will not add it to my data plan. They want me to have a $50/mo 10 gig plan. While that is cheaper than the Winegard plan, it is still not adequate for my needs.

Just had Winegard Connect 2.0 installed yesterday. I'm on a Verizon plan that is unlimited, so it took me a bit, but I did get it attached to my plan ... cost will be $20 per month. Anyway ... works like a charm right now. My suggestion for anyone who wants to get this and add it to their Verizon or AT&T current plan as a hotspot ... is to take the SIM card that is in the unit (Winegard) and take the instruction booklet that has the device ID number on it to a Verizon or AT&T store. I tried doing it all without those two things, and it did not work well ... so much so that I was going to cancel my purchase/installation. A friend said I really needed to keep trying as it is a great system. So ... taking the above to the store helped tremendously. Then when you do get the system set up on the roof and the new Verizon or AT&T Sim card installed .. you may (I did) have to call Verizon or AT&T and activate the card.

So far, it is working perfectly .... much faster than my JetPack. If it continues, I will cancel my JetPack.

Winegard Connect 2.0 wifi 4G LTE

Took my JetPack SIM card to Verizon along with the Winegard ID number etc and had the account changed to the connecT 2.0. Note the Winegard takes a different size SIM card. The $20 charges cancel out. $20 add for the Winegard and $20 credit for cancelling the JetPack service

That should be $10 not $20. Verizon charges $10 for an additional line.

I got the Version SIM card and installed it in the antenna then made a temporary connection to house battery and checked out the operation before permanently installing the antenna.

Has anyone with the ConnecT 2.0 used the Winegard "Pay as you Go" data plan? We don't use our rig full time so I was thinking this could be a good option so as to not have monthly bills.

Thanks,
Lee & Lori Warren

No interest in doing that as it is VERY EXPENSIVE ... and it doesn't look like they are going to change that any time soon.

I haven't used it but think it would be fine if you have limited need and understand what you are getting. The data you buy is from AT&T and is good for 30 days. You use it or lose it on day 31.
