Winegard Roadtrip Mission Sat Dish

The new coach we have a deposit on has a Winegard Roadtrip Mission Sat antenna on it. Is anyone familiar with these? It appears from the literature on line this unit can feed Dish SD and HD signals and operate while in motion. Almost sounds too good to be true. We have a Winegard X2 Pathfinder portable unit right now. Would I be able to use my existing 211 boxes with this antenna?

Thanks!

There are 2 different models. There is the stationary and the in motion. It will feed dish HD. We have it in our rig. It will also allow you to watch tv while rolling down the road. You may on occasion get a momentary freeze when going under a underpass. The 211 boxes will work with it.

Thanks. I did not notice any particular tag on the antenna while I was on the roof indicating if it was the stationary or in motion model. Any idea how to tell which it is?

In motion has the dome. The stationary looks more like a clam shell.

The only way to tell the Road Trip Mission antennas apart is to look at the model number. To see it you would have to remove dome cover. The model numbers are:

Tracking Models

RT4000T (white dome)

RTT-40W (white dome)

RT4035T (black dome)

RTT-40B (black dome)

Stationary Models

RT4000S (white dome)

RTS-40W (white dome)

RT4035S (black dome)

RTS-40B (black dome)

Thanks! I'll find out this weekend. All i know now is that it's black dome. I'll bring my 211 dish box and see if it works. I assume there is a DIP switch setting for Dish/Direct TV selection

Yes, under the dome cover is a small silver box area that houses the 8 dip switches you need to set. Here's a link to the setup manual:
