Winegard T4 question

I have a Winegard T4 with 2 tv's. I understand the second tv (TV2) doesn't toggle between satellites but will be watchable with the same satellite that the main tv (TV1) is locked on. But here is my question. When the main tv Wally is on and operating the TV2 Wally works just fine. I can change channels within the same satellite and all is good. BUT, when I turn the TV1 off (after the delay in the Wally) the TV2 says "Total signal loss" even if I have not even changed channels or satellites (which again, I understand I cannot change satellites without changing satellite on the main Wally). Does the main Wally have to be on in order for TV2 to maintain a signal capture or do I have a funky satellite receiver? I am pondering installing a Winegard PL-700 that supports only 1 channel for the back TV2, especially since that is powered through just the coax.
Thanks, Go Chiefs! Walt

Does the main Wally have to be on in order for TV2 to maintain a signal capture or do I have a funky satellite receiver? Depends on how the satellite is wired up. On my new motorhome the dealer wired up the salon, bedroom and outside tvs to all operate on one or separate receivers.
