Winegard T4 Roadtrip Issue or DirecTV issue

I'm starting a new thread, although this is continuation of a previous issue.
We have a TV Roadtrip installed in our motorhome with DirecTV service.
A few weeks ago, when I would change a channel, or try to watch a recorded program, the TV would flash, then go blank. The screen would flicker and then go blank again. The screen would flicker every 20 - 30 seconds but it stayed mostly a black screen. We never got any sound while this was happening.
If I rebooted the receiver, it would sometimes start working again.
I spoke to someone at DirecTV and they said it sounded like I had a bad receiver, which seemed reasonable.
Here's where it gets complicated. I received the new receiver from DirecTV and called and activated it. After a fair amount of troubleshooting and a phone call to Winegard, we were able to get a picture and it seemed like everything was good.
This morning I turn on the TV and receiver and it is doing the exact same thing my old receiver did. I rebooted the receiver and it restarted normally, but after it downloaded the guide information, instead of showing the picture, it went back to flickering screen, but mostly black.
Does this sound like a DirecTV issue, a Winegard T4 issue, or something else?

From your description, I would be trying a new HDMI cable or spliter, if equipped, or both.

DVR/Receiver model number?
How is it connected to your TV?

I figured out the problem, and it was something easy.

I decided to cover all possibilities, so I ran an HDMI cable from the back of the receiver directly to the den TV. I got a picture and everything looked like it was working properly.

Normally the HDMI cable goes from the satellite receiver to an HDMI distribution box. That box distributes the signal from the satellite receiver and DVD player to the living room, bedroom, and outside TV,s.

So it looks like all along the problem has been with the HDMI distribution box, NOT the DirecTV receiver!
