1000 pure sine inverter

I have a motormaster 1000 pure sine wave inverter. Can I connect it to just the one house battery or do I have to run a couple parallel. Thank you

Depends upon what loads you intend to power.

That should be fine. Will probably need to run your generator to charge battery each day. Do you have a battery monitor that tells you when to recharge? To conserve power, shut down the inverter when not watching TV.

Depends on the battery.....

For a 1,000 watt inverter you should have at least 200 amp hours of battery, that is one pair of Six Volt Golf Car Batteries.

Or two Group 29 or 31 12 volt.

The OP wants to power a TV and a DVD player..... About 34 watts for a 32 inch LED
TV

I agree 1000 watt inverter seems overkill.......but that may be just what he has lying around....so why not use it ?

......don't think he needs 200 amp hours of battery to do what he wants to do.

There I would agree.. I just gave the owner's manual version last post.

For light loads. yes a smaller battery might work. My 1,000 watt MSW will not work (At this time) on a single battery, but... That may be due to the heat, not battery issues, or it may be bad connectors (It lives in the trunk of my car and connects with clamps to the battery (Car's) so, I got to do some work on that stuff to see if I can improve operation on it in the very rare case I need it) Motor home has a nice hard wired 2KW job.
