1200l rim door seal replacement

HELP
My door seals on my 4 door fridge on the lower big doors the seals around the doors are shot.I've been told I can't replace the seals and would have to buy the whole new doors at$400.00 a door.
Has anybody had this problem?

Yes, many people have had the same problem
Go to your web browser search bar and type in "replacing door seals on norcold 1200".

Had the same problem, we corrected this problem by installing the Samsung RF-197, best thing we did and that was 2 years ago

I've read about this problem for years, and it got me to wondering if it would be practical to cut-away the old useless OEM seal and replace it with a generic frig seal that glued onto the doors. One must find a suitable replacement gasket first though.

If/when my door gaskets fail to seal, that is my project before spending $$$$$ for 4 new doors. Guess that makes me a cheapskate. Shoot a new Norcold 1200 is about $3,900, buying new doors doesn't make much sense.

On my 1200 the seals at the top ripped, and one was about 2 years ago and he other a few months ago. I used Gorilla Tape and formed it over the tears. I have not had a problem since. So where exactly is your gasket problem.
