2000 hr Endeavor propane capacity

I'm looking for someone that owns a 2000 HR Endeavor 38CDS (likely any 38' pusher will do)that can tell me the LP capacity. I just bought it this summer and I cannot find a brochure or specs in my papers anywhere. My 85% bleeder won't work and the guy won't fill it unless I know the capacity. I also believe they have auto shut offs at 80%. The tag is missing on the tank as well so I have checked for that. I seen the 1999 is 32 gal and the 2001 is 38 gal but nothing on 2000. Thank you all

Get a differen propane guy. He really doesn't want to deal with you. In my opinion.

I have a 99 signature and I forget the capacity? It is listed on my build sheet.

But in 30 years of owning a few class A
no propane service person ever ask.

What doesn't work about the bleeder ?

If its on the tank, its just a little valve. The tank will need to be drained to replace it.

If its on a panel, with a line going to the tank, there will be a valve on the tank end of the line that may be shut off.

Take care if the bleeder valve on the tank is off. Someone may have closed it because the line to the panel has a leak. Change the line and open that valve.

All propane filling places are supposed to open the bleeder, but many just shoot the gas in, while depending on the overfill valve to stop the flow. That can be risky if the OPD fails.

FIXED Level Gauge (Bleeder) is set at 80% lquid level.
It is a 'stand pipe' with open end at the 80% liquid level
When open propane vapor will come out until level reaches 80% capacity ---then liquid propane will spit out.
Time to stop filling tank.

OPD (Overfill Protection Device) is a float actuated shutoff valve that stops liquid propane from entering tank when float reaches 80% lquid level.
ASME Propane Tanks have had OPDs on FILL Valves since 1984 (DOT Cylinders/1998)
OPDs are NOT to be relied on as the Primary Shutoff Device.

Fixed Level Gauge (Bleeder Valve is Primary for ASME Tanks)

You NEED to have the 'Bleeder Valve' replaced.....
Bulk Propane Vendor can do the R/R on the valve.

LP Tank is 38 gallon

Actual filled capacity is 80%----30.4 gallons MAX

Thank you guys for the advice. I will start with the bleeder on the tank that leads to the remote bleeder. It was turned off and yes I wonder why. I can't tell it it's leaking until I refill. I let it run out hoping to fix it. Thanks again.

Thank you. I will write that down. I did get a guy to put 25 gal in it when he could tell it was empty. Would it be possible to PDF or send a photo to me of the spec sheet with that. If you can't, that's fine, what I just gleaned from you is great. Thanks again.

Dwen:

I have an Owners Manual in pdf format that has LP and other info that you might want. It is about 10MB and that is too big to post here. If you can give me your email address, I will send it back to you that way as an attachment.

Is it not true that all ASME tanks have a certification label with capacities?

They should be.

UHaul takes a picture of mine before filling the tank.
