30 amp motorhome and residential fridge

I have a 2015 Winnebago Vista 31ke and want to change my rv fridge for a residential one. My motorhome uses 30 amps. Is that doable? I looked for answers first, but didn't find an answer. Thank you.

Of course, a residential refrigerator uses 1/3 the power as a gas/electric, on electric.

You will need an inverter and at least 200 amp hours of battery for a overnight without power.

I would say yes. Residential fridge is going to be using 120 volts of power and the AMP load should not overall effect use. You're going to need a beefy power converter and a bank of healthy batteries. This is important as you travel the converter will keep the fridge going off battery power. OR you will be running your Generator while traveling Now finding a fridge that going to fit into the same slot your RV fridge sits in will be fun. Measure twice to cut once. Good Luck

It will indeed work, BUT, you need to audit some things. What other things are you using? Add it all up.

Been running a residential fridge using 30 amps for the past 7 years while full timing in our A class. 200 watts of solar, (2) 100 amp 12 volt batteries and a 2000 watt inverter.

I have a 22 cf residential in ours running on a victron Phoenix 1100 watt. It only runs at 20%. Stays on it 24/7
