86 Tioga Two-Way Refrigerator Not Working

Hi all,
I’m new to RVing so please excuse my general lack of knowledge.

I just bought an 86 Tioga 26’. Remarkably everything original but the water heater worked when I bought it. Just a week into using it though, the two-way fridge/freezer suddenly gave out.

I had the RV leveled and was on shore power when I awoke one morning to find the panel lights flickering and everything inside getting warmer. I powered the fridge off then on, and it ran for about an hour before failing again. For the next few days, when powering off/on to test, the panel would flicker (and sometimes I could hear the fridge “clicking” like it was trying to run on LP). Finally, it has given out for good and does nothing when powering on.

I’m quite confused and don’t know where to start. Obviously AC and/or DC are not getting to the indoor fridge panel. What could be going wrong here and what steps should I take to diagnose?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Welcome!
Sorry you have having problems with fridge
1986 is 35 yr old.
Parts WILL be difficult to find if even available
Sounds like upper display board is failing

Voltmeter....
Verify you have 120VAC at outlet and at connection on lower circuit board
Verify you have 12VDC at connection on backside of fridge and to the circuit board

It would be very Helpful if you posted Brand/Model of Fridge

Yes, 35 years is a long life for an RV fridge. I doubt if yo can find parts for the unit,
