A/C hummed, now just clicks. Won't work
Got a dometic duo therm in our 08 National. Had it plugged into the house and wanted to see if we could run the ac on low...tried it, but it just hummed, so I shut it off maybe 30seconds after. Now it just clicks, but doesn't turn on. Breakers seem fine...nothing flipped. Won't even work off generator.
It's like it's not getting power??

Not sure where you are at, but last weekend, a fella came over and asked if he could borrow my ladder, his AC was doing the same thing as yours..........he got up on the roof and took the cover off, and there was a large "Mud-Dobber's" nest from the fins to the fan blade's........he removed the nest and it started right up. You are going to have to take the cover off and see if the motor shaft spins.......if it does, maybe your start capacitor's went bad.

Update: the fan will turn on, but only on shore power...I don't have a big enough entrance to try the a/c (just 15 amp). Front fan won't even work on the generator and

I had a similar problem with my AC at the start of the season, just hummed. I took the cover and spun the fan by hand then turned it on. It just needed loosen up. Working fine how.

Thanks for the advice.
We never thought to check the generator, so on a whim, we did...breaker was tripped (it has 2 ). Works perfect ly fine now
