A/C Question

I have my a/c unit on our TT. The trailer is used but new to us. Yesterday the a/c unit would turn on but the fan wouldn't blow through out the trailer.

I went on the roof, pulled the cover and spun the fan. Everything worked until the night and the a/c turned off.

Now I have to go up on the roof to spin the fan to get it going. But it's not blowing cold air anymore.

The breakers are not tripped, but I switched them anyways just in case it reset something. I also reset our 3 button thermostat. No luck.

First, what do you guys think the fan issue is. Second, what is the warm air issue.

Thanks

Hello, Fan Capacitor or bad motor will cause your issue. Check the starter capacitor for the fan if it has one. Normally they start to bulge when going bad. When the fan is not working the a/c will not cool properly because the unit is not drawng air across the evaporator and condensor. Hope this helps, good luck

Suspect you have poped the start capacitor(s). Change them both, there may only be one. Cheap fix. Make sure you get the wires back in the right places.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like I will be putting on a capacitor. I have been zapped by one back in the day, so I will discharge this one before testing.

Thanks for all the replies, I will most likely be doing it later this week. I will update the post with the results.

Thanks everyone!
