Absorption fridge

Hello
Quick question about an AC plug I found in the rear of our absorption fridge. Ours has the standard AC plug for electric power but there is an extra cord l found laying in the back. It doesn't look to have been used in a long time. Just wondering what it might be for. I'd follow it to see where it goes but it runs up inside the back and I'm not wanting to take apart the fridge to find out. So, anyone know what it might be for?
Thanks
Keith

Yep, the ice maker has a mold heater in it to release the ice cubes so they can be easily pushed out.

I my opinion, the ice maker is useless. Who wants to put ice cubes made from campground water in their drinks? Risky business.

We save the 6 oz plastic containers you buy yogurt in and fill them with RO water will purchase from dispensers and fill our gallon jugs.

Ah, ok. Had forgot all about that. We pulled the ice maker as it didn't work anyway.
Thanks for the answer.
