AC compressor won't run, tried new cap, 83 VAC at terminals

We have a 2004 Springdale and our AC compressor stopped working 6 months ago. The fa works, but compressor does not come on.
I read some RV forums and replaced the starting capacitor with a Supco SPP6, it only cost $12 so I figured I would try.

It did not help at all. I'm only getting 82-85V at all capacitor terminals. It does not seem right, unless I am missing something in the equation. Every other outlet in the trailer shows correct 118V.

Please help, where should I look at?

Your best bet may be a new AC unit. You probably have a 13,000 BTU unit and can upgrade to a 15,000 BTU unit. I replaced both of my 2005 Dometic Penguin 13,000 BTU units with new Dometic Brisk II AC units Dometic B59516 Brisk II RV Air Conditioner 15,000 BTU White and I am ready for the Texas summer. This is their new model AC unit and its better insulated, quite and cold air.

Good luck

Blower contacts have 110?

It's possible the fan would run at 85vac...jus' not full speed.

Check thermostat switch?...maybe bad contacts.

Actually I think I figured it out to be a K4 relay in the analog control box.

I opened it up, and see the black square box with a blue and black wire in the middle:

When I shorten these two wires (I used my pliers and the sparks burned the terminals a little), the compressor started to run!

Are these relays available for replacement? If so,where can you purchase them. Thanks

I bought an entire analog control box, search it by the part number and it came to $81 w/S&H. It should also come with a new thermostat for some reason, I don't think I will need it.
