AC Maintenance

Trying to do some maintenance on my AC unit. Can someone tell me if the shroud lifts off as one piece, two halves or other (after removing the 4 bolts)? It seems a little stuck, but I was cautious about forcing it until I'm sure of how it should come off. Thanks.

Sorry i can't tell you.. I need to do mine.. last time I looked.. sure looked like it has to be 2 piece.. just really chiming in.. to tell you.. what a beutifull rv you have.. I also have 1993 hi top ford conversation van.. but your is what I should have got.. in 1993 it was 5,000.00 cheaper than my van... with all the rebates they had then.. yes still have 1993 and its daily driver today.. oh.. by the way.. they are really fragile.. so be careful..
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you

It helps to know brand and model of the unit. It looks like a one piece. You may need to shift it to the rear and lift up over the pan to get it up. Lift up the rear first.

If it comes apart at the seam, you should be able to tell pretty easily.

*** UPDATE ****
I found that it comes off in one piece. 19 years of decaying leaves were interfering with its removal.

It just lifts off. Mine has a few serious cracks, so I plan to use fiberglass to stabilize it. I'll give it a few coats of paint too.

A new one is ~$300, last I looked, which is a good chunk of the price of a new AC unit.
