AC problem

Dometic 3 wire single zone ac. Changed board and updated stat. Runs then stops until reinitialize or turn off and back on? No ice up works great when running. Could use some help. Anyone know the cure? Thanks in advance.

Have you taken the cover off to see if the condenser coil is loaded with cotton fluff or similar. Is the condenser coil exposed to the elements and are the fins flattened from hail. If either of these things describe that condition then it's likely that the unit trips out because it over heats as it cannot pass enough air through the fins to dissipate the heat.

I've got a similar problem. One of my Dometic AC's just keeps running even though the bedroom is cold. Then the AC creates a clicking sound and switches on and off.

I'm thinking it is a thermostat problem. Could this be your problem as well?

Sensor on your compressor (safety) shuts it off due to being to hot. Will come back on with a reset. Your unit needs refrigerant and leak sealer. Put a saddle tap on the low size and charge it or get a new ac. I charged mine and also put leak sealer in it. Runs like new super cold. Have an ac person do it if you don't know how to do it.
Good luck
