AC squirrel cage blade missing. Fan noise.

My AC squirrel cage has a blade missing I noticed it when cleaning the filter. It is off balance now and making more noise. I can't seem to see where the fan blade went but I am assuming it will get louder as time goes by. Is that something simple to change or fix? ... or does a RV tech need to do it. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do to fix it. TIA

What make model AC unit do you have.

I have Dometic AC units, I had to change the motor on the front AC unit and as a result had to remove both fan blades. Based on this I believe you will have to access the fan blade from the top, removing the shroud and then peeling back the sheet metal above the fan blade. Not sure if there will be enough room to remove the fan blade without at least being able to move the motor.

Yes this can be a DIY job if you are not afraid of what I described above.
