AC unit blowing room temperature air....

My rear AC unit has stopped cooling, it blows room temperature air.

1. No error code on the thermostat.
2. AC unit blows (warm) air, compressor appears to start and run, draws about 13 amps after it comes on.
3. No strange noises.
4. Front AC is working normally.

I have an appointment at a dealer tomorrow to have it looked at. The service manager said it sounds like a 'freon' problem. But the unit is only a year old??

Anything I should be alert to when we get to the dealer tomorrow?

Thanks for comments and advice.

Try the easy stuff first. Find the phone connector type wire from the thermostat to the AC and unplug it at each end and then reconnect. I had one that did not work and it was just a bad connection.

Compressor comes on......blows warm air..

Lack of coolant.
Whether it is a year old, 10 years old or day old.......has to circulate coolant to absorb heat from air in order to blow cold air

I had the same issue with my middle AC unit. AC tech found a small hole in a line. Line had rubbed against the unit creating the small hole. We patched, tapped and recharged, which they said you couldn't do. Still works 3 years later.

Just my two cents.

AC unit blowing room temperature air....

Safe to say if the coolant has leaked out....there’s a leak that has to be found and repaired...meaning, not as simple as recharging the AC unit?

Only way it can be recharged is for a tech to add ports.......it's a sealed unit...

So that’s why the forum indicate many units have had to be replaced?

A+, 10 of 10, home run to Newmar and Sherman RV (outside of Tupelo, MS).

Newmar had me booked into Sherman RV for next day service within 30 minutes of reporting the problem. When we arrived this morning, Sherman RV was working on it before we even had the paperwork complete. As luck would have it, they had a Dometic AC/Heat Pump in stock and had it installed within 2 hours.

Couldn’t have had a better experience!

Yup, Sherman RV has a great reputation in this area!

Take it that OEM A/C Unit had leaked and new A/C Unit replaced Under Warranty?
