Here is one writeup I found on it. I think I would pass.
"This product is not worth any amount of money. It was not functioning correct out of the box. I live in Hawaii and paid an extra $120.00 in shipping. When we had it up and running we were not sure if it was running correctly. Alarms kept going off we called AIMS and they told us it was normal. Then we had an electrician look at it. He said it was not working correct. We called AIMS and they were not going to do anything without us sending it back. The customer service Manager( Summer ) had her tech try to determine why it was malfunctioning. He said we would need a new board. They would send it but not pay for shipping. That cost us $75.00 and another 10 day wait. Got the part and it did not fix the problem and invertor would not work at all. They said we would have to ship the invertor and the board back plus the insurance of $700.00 per the invertor and again for the board. We complied cost another $240.00 to send both back. They said a ribbon was bad on the invertor and they replaced it and ran tests. Charged me another $120.00 in shipping to get it back to me. Guess what it did not work again. When I called to talk to Summer she said I would have to send it back to them once again at my cost for shipping again. I decided enough with this. I lost 4 months of solar the cost of the inverter and all the shipping cost. Warning avoid this product I was miss lead. I really believed that buying a US made invertor by AIMS, they would have integrity in which they do not."
