Air Bags - Install Manual Bypass? - Your Input Please

2008 Tiffin Phaeton Cl A 40' HWH leveling system
Have had issues with air bags not airing up
Question - can I install a by pass around the pilot dump valve to manually air up the air bags or also to dump the air bags manually?
see attached
The pilot dump valve is just past the generator, I could run the air lines to the adjacent propane bay.
If the air bags fail to operate properly I could the go to the propane bay and use the by pass to air up the bags or use a air exhaust to manually dump the air bags.
At least until I find the intermittent issue, this would ensure I can resolve an immediate issue and get on with my travels at the time.
Is there any flaw in a manual bypass around the pilot air dump valve?

Yours might be different, but our '06 Phaeton dump valve has 2 buttons, one to air up the system and one to dump the system.

They're manual buttons and are for “emergency” use to air up the system in the event the electrical side malfunctions.

Take appropriate precautions to block up the coach if you're using this method so you won't be trapped underneath.

On another post, I saw the dump valve can be replaced without having to pull all the wiring. Wish I had known that because the “mechanic” that changed mine took another couple of hours to pull and reseal up the wiring.

Good luck.
