Air compressor advice?

Any advice on an portable air compressor capable of airing up 22.5 inch tires on motor home. I have on board compressor but would prefer to use portable.

I've heard a lot of people like the Sears Craftsman portable units. They pump up to 150 psi

Sears has a great little one piece unit. Has 150 PSI max and puts out an impressive 2.0 CF/min. Think I got mine for $99.00 or so.

How long does it take to add 10 lbs., for example?

I have a Dewalt 1 Gal, 135PSI. It is a low profile and quiet.

Husky

I picked up a Husky 150PSI at Home Depot. Works well. Gets up to 150 PSI in about 90 seconds.

I picked up one of these at Home Depot during Memorial Day sale:

Husky 120-Volt Inflator-HY120 at The Home Depot

http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdf...c2fd374123.pdf

I was carrying a pancake compressor (125psi) but this works to top off tires if you aren't in a big hurry .... compressor is 135psi max.

Using my Sears 150 psi and for my little 235/80/R22.5's I would guess it would take about 4 or 5 minutes to go from 90 to 100 psi. I wish it were faster but it's a good unit for a small compressor. I think with your bigger tires and probably much higher pressure it may take you twice that. I tested it for 110 psi once and it really struggled as I recall. I think I would burn it up before I ever got 150 psi in a large volume tire. A bicycle tire Ok.

I purchased this unit PORTER-CABLE 6-Gallon Air Compressor at Lowes.com at Lowe's several years ago and love it. It was on sale over Memorial Day for $99. Will do a 295/80R/22.5 from 85 psi to 95 psi in about one minute.

Here is an interesting looking one.

BOSTITCH CAP1512-OF 1.2 Gallon Oil-Free High-Output Trim Compressor - Amazon.com

I don't know anything about it other than looking at the reviews which pretty good.
