Alternative replacement for Mach 8 A/C units

We have a 2014 Entegra Cornerstone with 3 Mach 8 A/C units. Model # 47074A879. We need all 3 units replaced, but we cannot find the model anywhere (thanks Covid!) Has anyone replaced these with another model A/C unit? We are living in our coach full time right now - looking for a house. Since it is October you would think A/C units wouldn't be that critical, but we are in Central FL, and they are still needed! Thanks.

Sad, the shortage has been for over 6 months. With the record breaking manufacturing for all forms of RV's and the chip shortage Airxcel has not been able to keep up with production. Are you sure all three are needed, have they been tested?
I think it would be a major rewiring to change AC brands and they are in short supply as well. Best bet is be on the phone daily, with every supplier might even try Entegra that is purchasing in large quantities.

Another alternative is a portable AC. Sorry for the problem, we are due for a 90's heat wave with high humidly all week. I know I am sure tired of it!!

Yes, we are concerned about all the hook ups that would be needed and the thought that another model/brand probably would be a pain to get set up. We already spent over 600.00 on the front a/c. It worked for a couple of months. We don't want to keep putting money into them at this point. I did call Entegra, of course. They told me that all new Mach 8's they get are being put into new units, none available for aftermarket. Great policy!

Thanks for the reply!

Multiply that times the other manufactures and there is 90% of the problem. I have heard that being in the right place at the right time when RV suppliers such as PPL, Tweeties, etc. get a shipment has paid off for others. There was a post that someone set up a portable AC vented out the passenger window with a fan to carry the air into the coach until they found a Mach 8. They said it kept the coach manageable.

The odds of all three units going out at once are pretty slim. Are you sure it's not a thermostat problem, wiring or fuse?

This link shows to be a replacement for your unit(s) if actually needed.

They didn't all go out at the same time - one by one...
Thanks for the reply.

Have you checked on Furrion® brand? Furrion just got into the AC business a couple years ago and aren't a OEM provider for anyone I know about so may have some. Their ACs come with a soft start built into them, a real plus.

Furion and other's list kits to connect to Coleman-Mach wiring for thermostats. I know that Truma and even GE are getting into the RV A/C business.

My Mach 8 went out in August. Luckily it had 45-days of warranty still left on it and so I got a brand new one for free. It took my RV repair shop in San Antonio 4-weeks to get the replacement but from what I hear that's super quick these days. So, I know they're churning them out still.

Just spoke with NIRV-Phoenix, and parts said he had 32 Mach 8’s. Price was way higher than last year. But I think that’s the case across the board. Good luck!

Yes, we replaced 2 last year. Another unit the same size will fit the hole. They didn't have replacements for us right away and we grabbed whatever was in stock. An Advent unit went in until we could get direct replacements under warranty. There's an adapter ring if you are using ducted as I recall.

We had one go out under warranty this summer. But when I priced them they had gone up in price about $500 since the last one we bought in 2019. That’s about a 40% increase in 2-yrs.

Wanna bet there are no improvements just a higher price?

Is that National Indoor RV? Do you have a contact number? Approximate price?
