Aqua hot

As a long time tinkerer and heard lots of pros for an aqua hot system, opinions needed from the experts---- can I install an aquahot in my older discovery? There is plenty of room between frame rails and willing to donate a bin for the unit.

Just remember that the boiler is probably the easiest part of the installation. You have to run two hoses to each of the heat exchangers along with connectors and 12 volts electrical. You will need to drill some holes through the flooring for this and you will need to make room for the heat exchangers as well. You need to install another feed tube from your fuel tank (or at a minimum branch off your generator fuel feed). You need to install an exhaust along the bottom of the coach. And you need to make sure that whatever thermostats you use are compatible with the AquaHot. So, it really comes down to how much you want to "tinker". Of course, it can be done, but I think this would be a much larger project than it would first seem. It is just a whole lot easier to do this when the coach is being built.

To add to Bill's post, you can figure about $3K at a minimum for parts required

But it would be an interesting project. Pictures please if you undertake it.
