Aquahot noise

I have a 2012 American coach with a 200d aquahot system. It has recently started to make a surging sound when the burner fires up and runs. It was serviced about 6 months ago. It is still working as it should but I am concerned about the surging sound. Any Ideas?

Not certain what you mean by a surging. Are you referring to the flame? Or the hydronic fluid? Or?

Is the exhaust clean? Do you smell unburnt diesel?

Did you change the fuel filter along with the nozzle?

Fuel or air issue

Fuel filter was changed with service. It sounds like the boiler motor speeds up and slows down. No smoke or bad smell from exhaust. strange sound

Ours developed a surging, puffing sound on the exhaust. It still worked although there was a puff of smoke at times. It has since cleared up and the AH tech felt that the nozzle might have picked up some debris causing the surging or bad fuel. About a week before the tech showed up I had added a cetane booster/ cleaner to the tank. Not sure if that was a coincidence or if there was a fuel issue.
