450D... 08 Allegro Bus.
It smokes a bit white at the start of the burning cycle... then it disappears. It seems to work fine.. Gets regular service usually in January at Q. Ideas?

Sounds pretty Normal to Me - just burning off the extra fuel. Not a problem.

It's running lean if it's white. What altitude and what temps are you at? Fuel starts to thicken around 30 degrees.

Mine used to smoke on cold start up. cleaned combustion chamber and replaced nozzle and no smoke anytime.

Typically a little smoke at startup is from unburned fuel either from a leaking solenoid or if burner is having issues starting on first attempt. As other stated a normal PM may take care of it.
