Atwood 10 gal electronic ignition water heater

Hi there.

For the first time I fired up my water heater utilizing propane. It continually cycles. Runs 10 to 15 seconds, then rests for a couple of minutes.

Is this normal?

110 'seems' to work fine.

Any insight is appreciated. Mark

No sir , not normal, the condition you describe is an indication that the control board isn't seeing the flame through it's sensor, then it shuts off the propane, and if you have the owners manual it may have trouble shooting guide .
If you don't have the manual , there may be a pdf in the " Files " drop box in the blue bar under your welcome message.

Thank u Skip. The sensors did not seem to be in complete contact with tank. Elbow grease seemed to do the trick.

Best, Mark
