Atwood Control Comfort System

I have a 2 zone system in my coach & recently when topside to clean both AC's condensers & now on the first trip out I found the zone 2 ac temp set to 74 but remote reads 79..then after a couple hrs still reads 79 but the room is now 72 by a separate thermometer in the room..so I know the remote room sensor is not working & I put an ice bag on it to prove that...all tha said I'm assuming I must have bumped & or disconnected the remote sensor but a call to Coleman says that since I have a Atwood thermostat it's an Atwood question but also said the sensor doesn't pug into the AC..it goes to an Atwood control box..

So the question is is that correct what the Coleman tech said who frankly was so impatient with me or does the remote sensor just plug into something like a "control box" on the topside? Today it's been raining so the outside temp cooled to 75 so what happens is I set the the zone 2 at 73 which kicks it on but since the remote sensor isn't reading it whatever the outside temp is (75 or higher) the AC will just keep trying to cool.

I'm trying to avoid opening up both units & cut to the chase..It's going to be a hot one today & i'd really like to get Zone 2 working properly stat instead of it trying to work the outside temp instead of the inside Zone 2 remote sensor
