Typical heat cycle process:

Typical heat cycle process:
Wall thermostat closes contacts (calls for heat)
Furnace checks to see if safeties are off.
If so, fan turns "ON"
Furnace checks to see if sail switch is "ON"
Furnace opens gas valve and starts spark igniter
Furnace monitors for ignition
If no ignition it stops and starts over. After three tries, it locks out.
If ignition furnace continues to run and heat until wall thermostat opens contacts.
Fan runs for set period to cool down,
All off.

Furnaces

Thanks for the replies, i had my suspisions but always great to have additional expertise backing them up. I have two furnaces in my 2000 American eagle, fortunately I get one running (dirty sail swich) now I have a road map to fix the other, the second one was a bit more complicated, turns out the sail switch would only carry 9.7 volts, but I think the bigger problem is the relay, lots of corrosion and rust on the terminals, sail switchs are available everywhere but the relay is no longer available as a atwood part, dinosaur electronics makes one that's a direct replacement, I ordered parts from amazon will repost as the repair moves along. Thanks again.
