Atwood jacks Pace Arrow

Rt front jack extended, hit the ground, then got a warning from the control unit that something is wrong with right front jack. Couldn't use the sytem to retract jacks due to fault. Was able to manually retract the jack using a drill and 1/2" socket. Wondering what I should do going forward? I know Atwood is out of business (like Fleetwood, like Flexsteel regarding RV seats, etc.) Hoping you can save me some time by helping diagnose this situation. Is it the motor? The gear system? Can I disconnect the electrical leads to the jack and still operate the other 3 jacks? What is your experience?

Thanks.

Atwood jacks Pace Arrow

Welcome to the club, I had the same problem a couple of years ago except it was the left front jack. I went through all the suggested diagnostics and then sent the control board in to be “rebuilt”. They didn't find anything wrong and it still cost me $400.

I removed the offending jack, took the motor to an electric starter repair shop to have new brushes installed. The system still didn't work.

Eventually I had all the jack motors cleaned up with new brushes installed. Still didn't work.

I ended up taking the control board out and replaced it with a GAMA remote control board (<$200). (Gamainc.com) Everything now works but it doesn't have auto level capability.

I had fought with the Atwood Jacks system also here is the manual. Maybe it’ll help understand the system. I think you can reset the system.
Check the troubleshooting on both attachments.
