Have a combination LP/Electric 10 gal WH. On the LP side, I can get the ignition to light but the flame goes out almost immediately. Does this with or without the electric turned on. I tried adjusting the airflow, cleaned out the burner tube, cleaned all electrical connections. It sounds as if a solenoid or relay is cutting off the LP supply and not letting it remain lit. It does work fine on electric but was wanting to use LP for quick recovery or just in case the other goes out.
Any ideas before I bite the bullet on a new PCB?

The electrode may be dirty. Clean it with some steel wool. If its fouled , it won't light. Good luck and let us know.
