Atwood water heater
We bought a 95 Winnebago motorhome last fall with 9600 miles on it.We found out it wasn't maintained as the previous owners said it was.The generator wouldn't stay running (gummed up carb]. Our problem now is I can't get the Atwood water heater model GH67E started. Here one click and that's it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jaque

Welcome to iRV2.
Your post ended up under Website Tech Support. I expect a moderator will move it soon to where it may get more attention.
In the meantime, here's a site that may or may not be of help.

Here is a troubleshooting checklist that might help:
RV Water Heater Trouble Shooting - RV Water Heater Trouble Shooting Page
And if you don't have a manual for the heater, get one here:
http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/operating/atwood1.pdf
Have you opened the outside access door and observed what happens when the switch is turned on? There should be at least three clicks as it attempts to light the flame. Do you see sparks in the burner tube and does the flame light at all? And then go out? Or never sparks or lights?

I also note that your heater has the engine heat assist feature, which means that hot water from the engine circulates to heat the water in the tank while you drive. If the water in the tank is hot enough, the heater gas flame won't light because there is no need for it. It should light normally when it cools down a bit, though.

I would recommend starting with a good cleaning and inspection of the tip of electrode for carbon. Do you have and know how to use a multimeter and/or test light?

There is a 12v fuse on the circuit board - check that. Also check the ECO, which is a fusible link that could open if the tank exceeded its max heat rating. These things are covered in the manual, though it takes careful reading to find them.
