Atwood Water Heater Fault Light

Model GCH10A-4E Atwood Water Heater

Fault light comes on and will not heat when either Electric or Gas is selected. All water heater connections and grounds cleaned and inspected. Was intermittent for awhile and either source would work; now neither will work.

Atwood support site was not helpful in this case.

Thanks

Replaced the temperature sensor switches and solved the problem. Lucky to find them in stock locally here in Beckley, WV. Wouldn't have thought one of them opening up would cause the fault light to come one. Dealer said it doesn't sound natural but try them and see what happens; if not he had the circuit control board.

I can't see how the thermostats could produce a fault light either. They open and close as part of their normal operation. I guess if the ECO thermostat opens it could be considered a fault, rather than just letting it shut down the burner. Maybe the circuit board detected that.
