Atwood Water Heater Fuse Keeps Blowing

Good evening, everyone! I've got a water heater issue on our 2019 Atwood GC6AA-10E. Had hot water all day, this evening we have no hot water. Found the 2 amp fuse on the circuit board mounted on the water heater blown. Replaced 2 amp fuse, turned the hot water electric switch on and immediately blew the 2 amp fuse within 2 seconds. Replaced 2 amp fuse again, turned the hot water propane switch on and immediately blew the 2 amp fuse again within 2 seconds. Cleaned the thermocouple/resister terminals and checked continuity; we have continuity. Replaced the thermal cutoff, have continuity between the circuit board and the brown wire, checked behind the wall panel inside and verified the connections are good behind the electric and propane on/off switches. Checked wire splice connections in water heater compartment and are all good. Im running out of things to check besides the water heater circuit board. Thoughts?

I'll try that. Been calling local RV dealers to see of they can test the circuit board and say it'll be a $100 diagnostic fee. I can get a new circuit board for that price or cheaper.

2A Circuit Board fuse blowing whether on Electric or on GAS means circuit has shorted
Continuity on 'Power Track' (Brown wire contact and Green wire contact)
Continuity on 'Valve Track' (Red wire contact and Green wire contact)
*Circuit board has to be disconnected/removed to test

'Valve Track'......is not just for GAS
When on Gas 12VDC goes from circuit board to ECO then to Gas Valve
When on Electric Millivolt DC goes from circuit board to ECO then to Gas Valve---just enough current to place ECO in control loop (Hi Temp T-stat) but not enough to energize the gas valve solenoids

If Red Wire circuit is shorted. 2A fuse blows
If Brown Wire Circuit is shorted. 2A fuse blows


****Element shorted would trip the 15A Circuit Board...120VAC not blow the 2A DC fuse

I tested the power track (green to brown) and got no continuity.

I tested lamp track (green to blue) and got no continuity.

I tested the valve track (green to red) and got continuity or at least read some resistance.

Also checked the Brown circuit and the Red circuit. Had continuity on both.

Old Bisquit boiled down: 2A fuze blows, short on board 99% chance= Bad Board.

Replace with a Dinosaur Electronics Board...better quality circuit board and same/cheaper than OEM Board

My Norcold had one in it and it worked fine... impressed
with the printed circuit board quality. unfortunately
one of the cooling unit pipes rusted through. Had to
trash the fridge and chose to get a residential fridge.

Installed the new circuit board and it fired right up. I've got hot water using electric and propane again. Thanks for the help everyone!
