Is this a Gas & Electric Model
*the number you posted appears to be a serial number -- definitely not a model number

Suburban makes a Direct Fit replacement but is gas only

Suburban also makes a gas/electric 'DEL' model that uses DC for both just like Atwood

Model for better ideas
*GC6AA-10E or G6A- 8E or GC10A-4E etc

Check if they have this scratch & dent unit
https://www.rvpartscountry.com/s-d-a...gc6aa-10e.html

Problem is the cutout opening for that Atwood
Dimensions --- 16" W X 12.5" H X 18.5" D
*16" W is wider then other models

A Suburban SW6DE would be closer
Dimensions --- 16-1/4"W X 12-5/8"H X 17-5/8" D

https://www.rvpartscountry.com/subur...ter-5321a.html

Electric is direct wiring ---120VAC from circuit breaker to On/Off Switch unlike Atwood that uses a 12VDC from on/off to circuit board to DC Relay

So I was helping a friend out with this.

His tank was leaking and he wanted to just replace the heater.

New ones are not available anymore.
He got a $1200 quote from a local rv dealer for something that would work inplace of the old unit.

Thats when he decided to get the tank welded.
Cost $70 and got it done today.

We just fired it up an hour ago and all is well!

Yep ....... Atwood uses an aluminum tank so split tanks can be welded
Even really large split

If crack/split is not easily accessed ---- the drawn pan has to be removed by cutting the seal rings into around the combustion & exhaust ports.
New seal/gasket kits needed to install drawn pan. Seal rings have to be pounded on/over combustion & exhaust ports tight against drawn pan

My neighbor just replaced his 22 year old Atwood water heater with a Fogatti on-demand unit. The only issue was he had to have a metal fabricator fabricate an exterior cover. I think he paid $80 for the fabricated cover. Other than that, he said it was straight forward.
