Visone currently does not have the unit I need in stock. He did say to call every week and check since they are always getting fresh vehicles coming in.

The tank is not fit to be repaired. I borescoped the inside of the tank and it is obvious why this happened in the first place. It's bad. The replacement tank that I need is no longer available and I have not been able to locate one on a shelf anywhere. (part # 91028)

Replacing the unit itself isn't a big deal normally. The issue in my case is extensive body work will be required to put any other brand of WH in my rig since it is behind the basement compartment door and the exhaust flue passes through the door itself.

Borescope a year old RV water heater tank and it will look like it is trashed
Scale/calcium/aluminum oxide etc

You have few options....I would have leak in tank welded and have a working water heater until you can find alternate option

Still no luck at Visone.

I did stumble across a complete new unit today and they’re well aware of what they have. $1,607 to be exact!!!

I also found a service tank kit for the non Motor-Aide version so I went ahead and ordered it. It’s a bummer I won’t have “free” hot water on the road but it’s way better to have a functional water system in the rig.

Non-Motoraid replacement tank installed and Big Winnie once again has a functioning water system complete with hot water!
