Automatic Generator Starters

What are people using for automatic generator starters now? I have an older generator, an Onan 4000 Microquiet, so it doesn't work with the new Cummins auto starter. It looks like Magnum stopped making their starter. Someone is selling one on Amazon for almost $1,000. I see all kinds of automatic starters when I search, but they look like industrial use only. Not sure where to go. I'm trying to find something that will starter the generator when shore power drops.

Dunno if im missing something here but what is wrong with the start switch inside your unit? Its Just me but i see no reason to have a system that will autostart that's more of a house thing for emergency power outage starts..

Looking to auto start the generator on shore power loss would usually be done by a transfer switch. You can use the same approach as would be used for a home backup generator. Question for an RV is why? Critical loads such as the refrigerator should be transfer to the inverter-battery and the heating system should also work on battery. Many smart inverters can also be set to start a generator when needed, simple relay contact.

Heat protection for animals

Automatic generator starters are used to continue power in the RV, so air conditioners can run when pets are left in the RV.

People also use them when sleeping with CPAP machines to continue power to them.

Have you contact this company:
https://nooutage.com/ec-ags.htm

If they don't have one, see about picking their brain for ideals.

This company took over Magnum products. This link goes to their page discussing AGS.
