Hi,
We have an older travel trailer that we enjoy, we'd like to set up something for a barbecue to add to our trailer. (We like barbecuing a lot while travelling, also it tends to be our choice of cooking in the summer.) I see a lot of newer trailers with either pull out units, or units that hang on a bracket outside the trailer and tap into the trailers LP system with a quick connect. I really want to find something that we can have plumbed into our gas system, I don't really want, or like the idea of carrying another cylinder around. Anyone have any suggestions on what's out there?

Thanks,
Mark

This is not an answer on the exact question but here is what I did.
I bought the Baby Weber. I like it because it has a push button igniter. It uses the small trow away tanks that are easy to carry. I have the hose fitting to go to the 20 pound tank but have never used it.
I also bought the zip up case after not being able to find anything that would fit that was cheaper. This case prevents the grease smell entering the RV when stored in the bay area.
Anyway, this was my choice and I am pleased.

It will be a three step process:
1) The hardest part will be plumbing and mounting the quick-disconnect into the existing propane system. It's not hard, but you have to be very careful working with flammible propane. Though you can do it yourself, you might want to get a professional to do it.

They do make a quick disconnect that goes between the bottle and your traler system if you don't mind a hose on the ground.

2) Buy the BBQ. For example, http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm?deptI...skunum=28968&src=TSC

3) Enjoy!

Find a grill you like and buy it. Connecting to your trailer's propane system is a snap. There are adapter hoses that fit either of the standard BBQ propane fittings, i.e. high pressure (the 1 lb bottles) or low pressure (the ones that connect to a tank via a regulator.

A device called Extend-A-Flow can easily be added near your tank to provide a "tee" for the adapter hose. You can buy everything you need in a kit at most any large Rv store - the one from Marshall Brass called the Extend-A-Flow Kit is almost universally available.

See LP adapter
