Basement Air/heater w/aux front heater?

Hope everyone has ro had a great summer so far. We own a 04 Dolphin LX 6375 on a Wh Chassis. My question is this, we never noticed in the past travels that when the house air is running the front heater seems to run as well. Is this the norm? Or is something messed up? The front heater is a Atwood and the house is a Coleman Mack True-Air and it has always worked well in the past. It's working nice now also. We noticed that this happened when we were running on the genny while driving down the road and it did it for awhile last night while hooked up to shore power. Today, everything seems to be working like i think it should, air on, heat off! Any ideas as to what i might have done to cause this? Please do tell.

Wish I had a good answer Doug, however the heater shouldn't run when the AC is on. The front heater is connected to the heat pump system and will come on when the called for temperature is 4 degrees over room temperature, but you probably knew that. The best guess would be the thermostat was confused.

Well out of the blue, it started working like i think it's suppose to, i think! "lol' None the less, it stoped blowing heat while the ac was running, but then again i'm pluged into a shore line(50amp) Thanks for what you did post, made since to me and i was out checking relays and such. Who knows maybe something came loose and i pushed it back in. Thanks again.

Hi, I have a 2004 Dolphin 6375 LX with workhorse chassis 36'. My basement A/C has no cooling output. The fan runs on low only. I can hear the compressor running and then turns off after 4 or 5 min. But still no cooling. HELP!!

I'm going to guess here and say you might be low on freon. When ever the compressor clicks on and off in just a few minutes apart is more then likely low on the juice! Just a guess Sir!
