Question Batteries not charging when hooked up to truck

I'm new to the travel trail world. I have a 2012 Areolite 195QB that I picked up last year. Everything worked fine last year. This year everything worked fine going out, but on the way home the truck would not charge the batteries in the trailer. I have a Honda 1000 generator that would charge them just fine during the vacation. When I got home the power chord charged them. Can anyone tell me where I should look for the problem and how to fix it with out taking it back to the dealer and paying an arm an a leg for them to find the problem.

You should not have to pay them anything. Call them up and run your concerns by them. They should be able to help you out.

check your fuses on the convertor. They are 30 amp fuses and likely you have blown one. My convertor is located behind the fuses that are easily accesible for lights, outlets, those kinds of things. The convertor is likely behind that panel and you may have to unscrew the fuse panel, pull it out and inspect the convertor fuses. Its probably nothing more than a blown convertor fuse. |Oh but first check to make sure you don't have a visible loose wire. Start simple and work your way back.

Sounds to me like you need to check the voltage at the TV plug to ensure power and if so from the trailers plug back to a 30/40 amp breaker near the converter where the TV +12vdc connects. You could have a broken/loose connection on the 12v input or a breaker tripped and not rerest. If the converter is charging the battery from the generator or when connected to house cord...then you need to look at the input from the TV. Just a plug, wire and a breaker.
