Battery charger/converter what type is made for AGM batterys
We have a 2018 KZ Durango 2500 315RKD, Battery, not the 12 volt system, Lights, leveling, etc. that use the 12 volt systems work. I installed 50 amp service at storage location. However.......the battery goes dead and or has died several times. Replaced the original wet lead acid due to constant fluid loss with AGM. We lived in it for 8 months always had shore power. Moved into new house and Battery failed again, Manf. replaced battery. I am starting to think converter is bad. With new battery in hand and a full charge as indicated on my charger (it is AGM equip) 48 Plus hours charging. Installed it move it to permanent storage and 7 Days later it has less than 25% charge as indicated on a new NOCO 10 battery charger. So I ask Ya-all do I have the wrong converter or a short to ground or both ? The entire time we have owned this rig it has been plug into shore power. Duracell AGM Part. # SL127MAGMDC 92 Ah Deep Cycle the second one in less than a year !

Inside the inverter is a battery charger module. When it is working you will see a minimum of 13.6 VDC at the battery if it is being charged/maintained.
Most inverter/chargers have an off/on button for the charger, is your ON?
This information should be in your inverter owners manual.

Ray,IN you mean converter. He does not have an inverter.
Some converters have better charging programs than others. But any of the newer WFCO or Prog Dynamics units should work well. And many have the capability of handling lithium batteries if you should ever decide to go that way.
But before going there I would still be suspicious of a short.

If he actually has a converter instead of an inverter, this means he has no way to convert 12VDC to 120VAC.

Still, I would be suspicious of a short or phanthom load that is drawing the batteries down. Particularly if you are getting 13+ volts during the charge cycle.
