I'm trying to find the best solution for storing my battery in a very hot climate. My fifth wheel trailer is permanently parked in Southern California. Temperatures in the summer reach 110 or more. I'm concerned with storing my battery for the entire summer in such a hot climate. I can leave it on a battery maintainer but that doesn't solve the heat issue. Taking the battery home is not an option and I'm wondering what other people are doing to store long-term in a hot climate.

Warm batteries self discharge faster than cold batteries, so having a maintainer on them would be a plus. Other than that, there's nothing else you can do. They'll ride through this just fine, I wouldn't give it another thought if you've disconnected and added a maintainer.
