Battle Born Batteries and victron 2000w inverter
I have three 100AH battle born batteries, a Victron 12/2000w multiplus inverter, BMS 712, and a victron solar charger for my 600watts of panels. I have had this system for 1 1/2 years now.
Up until the last firmware update (maybe a coincidence?) I could run my microwave with no issues if all other large items were turned off. Now, I cannot run my microwave at all. It shuts down the inverter within a few seconds. I do get a low battery warning on the inverter, but my batteries can be at 100% when this happens.
I did notice that on the BMS display when the microwave is turned on, it shows that it goes past 2000watts. What is strange is that the microwave (a Furrion) says the output is only 900watts so it should not get to 2000watts.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

You can use a watt meter on the microwave to confirm its power use. This assumes you have an alternate power source to test with like shore power.
You can get a variable heat gun and plug directly to the inverter. The gun would be used to ramp up power to 1800 watts to see how the inverter responds. You can also try other household items like hair dryer etc.

I would check all your battery and inverter connections loose wires can cause more current draw.

The victron is not a 2000 watt inverter but 2000 va. This is more like about 1600 watts depending on the power factor.
However even 1600 watts should be enough to power the microwave. I would try powering a hairdryer and see what result you get.

Same thing happened to a friend with almost that exact setup.
He had a cable between battery and inverter come loose. Not very loose, just . . . looser.

Same here my friend just had this happen last week, his inverter showed a high battery ripple alarm, tho. Was a loose connection on one of the 4/0 battery cables. Inverter would shut down under load with batteries charged.

update 1/27/23 ... Just wanted to report what we have found. We can use the microwave if we have at least 80% battery power or if we are currently charging a good amount of power with our solar panels. So, sometimes in the morning we cannot run the microwave, especially if it was a cold night and the furnace ran a lot.

On the VEConfig settings there is a low voltage shut off. Sounds like your batteries voltages are dropping too low when pulling such a high load. This is either the battery to inverter cables are undersized or something is causing them to limit power (loose, corroded, etc). It's possible the update caused this because it'll reset the settings sometimes back to default so your shutoff might have been lower than it's set to now.
I had same problem with my Quattro 5000 when on lead acid, they just couldn't handle the load. Upgraded to 800ah lithium and 4/0 gauge wires now no issues at all
