Beeping inverter.

Anybody shed some light on why my inverter starts beeping after I disconnect from Shore power and have the genny shut off?
Would it be because the available battery power is to low? The romote shows 11.5V. When I have shore power or the genny running the inverter remote shows 14.5V.
I have no idea what this all means, or if I've supplied enough information for you to provide a solution. Please ask if you need more info.

Other tid bits;
Coach Batts: 2x6V
Tundra 1500w inverter w/ remote display.

Thanks,
Stewart

Probably low battery. Does the beep start 30 seconds, 30 minutes or 30 hours after shore power disconnected? And what is running inside? What do your battery cables look like at the battery? Have you pulled the caps and checked the battery water?

Is your inverter also a charger?

And you answered your own question. It's likely a low voltage alarm on the inverter if it sees only 11.5v.

Sounds like your batteries may be kaput (or bad connection from inverter to batteries) if they can't hold voltage when off shore/genset.

Thanks guys, I was afraid of that. The inverter starts beeping almost as soon as you come off shore power/genset. All I was trying to run was a flat screen TV and a DVD player.

Well it beeps because it's trying to tell you something, Depending on the inverter you need to.

1: Read the display
2: Read the status lights
3: Measure the voltage AT THE INVERTER 12 volt leads with a good digital meter
and I might add also measure it at the batteries.. (Might just need cleaning of connections)
