Do you have a switch box somewhere? We have a cable box that needs to be changed manually from antenna, cable, or auxiliary.

If you have an antenna booster , it may need to be turned off. Mine did.

Both are excellent answers. I can only add.... do you need to be on channel 3?

We have been to camp grounds that only turn on your cable TV if you pay extra for it.
You could also have a bad hook up at the post.
Are you using a digital antenna converter box on the TV? If so, it needs to be disconnected.

TV set for cable instead of antenna on the Setup Menu?

Don't think you need to scan for channels when set for Cable....

Good Luck!!!!

Yes you do, especially if the local cable company is using digital.

I expect that there's a switch box or booster than needs to be turned off.

I always change my TV from antenna to cable before doing the scan. I don't know if is is necessary with only 1 actual feed (coax from the BOMB) to the TV.
