Campsite 911 on Hot Water Heater not working

I've got a Keystone water heater model WH-6GEA that stopped working on both electric and gas hot water. Initially got it down to the 2 amp fuse that looked discolored and replaced it with a new 2 amp fuse, and same issue with no hot water. Was hoping to solicit Old Biscuit or any others that may be able to give some advice.
Thanks!!

Thermal Fuse....device in the Clear Tubing just above the burner/combustion chamber
But also wedged in just below the Exhaust Shield on that Dmoetic WH-6GEA
Thermal Fuse is a one shot fuse that blows when exposed to 190*F....safety device to stop Flame Blow Back
BUT Dometic wedged it in where Exhaust temps can cause it to blow

Unplug it from the t-stat and Brown Wire
Plug Brown wire back onto T-stat and try gas operation
If it fires up....Thermal Fuse

Fire good...hot water even better!

Thanks for update!

Thermal Fuse...
Great idea/poor engineering on location
Atwood Models had it out in open so that only flame blow back affected it
Dometic relocated the AC Element to front/outside compartment which required a new design which ended up with stacked combustion/exhaust chambers hence the thermal fuse trapped in between

Note of worthy: Suburban doesn't use a Thermal Fuse...never have
Flame blow back is RARE and is due to obstructed combustion/exhaust 'U' tube
Sooooo??

And I corrected the auto spell to what I originally wanted it to say, concerning your sage advice! And yes, the Hot Water is a Game Changer, for sure! :-)

So is the thermal fuse actually good for anything other than the annoyance factor?

Yes, it is there to keep your RV from burning down in the event of a catastrophic over-heat in the water heater.

Flame Blow Back 'protection' which can/could/possibly occur if combustion/exhaust chamber was obstructed

Note...Suburban Water heaters do NOT have a thermal fuse and hard to find any documented case of flame blow back burning down/causing damage

Point is.....flame blow back will melt the Brown wire and stop all operation.

ECO/HI temp T-stat trips if overheating and T&P Relief Valve pops open if t-stat/ECO fails

Soooooooo!

Aha! Common sense thrown into the picture. Is there a better place to locate the thermal fuse where it would only work as intended or is it really just an engineering holdover that no bean counters have discovered yet?

Not on the Dometic WH-6GEA model.

Atwood has had thermal fuse on every model/version

Suburban has never had a thermal fuse

Basically the same water heaters but different concepts.
