This is what I used. It makes a huge difference. The blowers in this kit can push the air with more pressure. They are much better than the flat computer style fans. IMO, this enables them to push the air through areas that are less than perfect for air flow. Especially when the fans are further away from the areas needing the airflow.

All that said, it sound like the baffles might be a major contributor to the problem. I'd address that first before doing anything else.

Thanks, Lt. Dan! Yes, that is the case and I think the main problem, too. I found a couple of items to prop open the space between those two baffles the night before last and the fridge stayed below 50 yesterday and got down to 36 overnight last night. I'll need to find a better way to permanently maintain that opening or see if I'm able to reposition that top baffle without breaking something.

I plan to add fans at the vent openings, as well--at least the top vent depending on how much improvement we see with the baffles repositioned to allow the air to get out.

Thanks, Sibe! I did that (on the Fridge Defend site). The drawing I attached in post 9 is actually from their site with a few additions by me to point out what mine looks like. Definitely appears that the baffles are not installed correctly so I need to figure out how to more permanently position that top baffle.

FYI: our fridge is a 2-door (I wish it were 4! ) but, yes, it's in the slideout so vents out the side, not the top. There is a fan installed in there already so maybe getting the baffles repositioned will do the trick; if not, I will definitely be adding additional fans and, possibly, the Fridge Defend controller so they aren't running all the time.

Thanks!
