Carbon monoxide and propane detectors

My propane detector gave me the end of life code. Looking for a replacement I found a combo carbon monoxide/propane alarm. While waiting for that to show up, my carbon monoxide detector gave me it's end of life code. Propane alarm is in the kitchen and carbon monoxide is in the bedroom ceiling. Should I replace both? At $70 plus each are they different from sticks and bricks detectors?

They are the same. On a 40' Class A I owned there was one combo unit, near the floor in the middle. (Propane is heavier than air)

Replace Both

Don't care for combo CO/LP Detectors
LP needs to be down low/floor level cause LP settles at floor level
CO should be up higher/head level---as it rises especially with warm air

I don't, either.

I've had propane detectors fail for no good reason, causing a continuous alarm.

Temporarily disabling a propane detector that has wandered off the reservation is a lot less of a safety concern if it doesn't also disable the CO detector.
